The Gummies Fashionist

In the Pico world, it seems that some people are Gummies Fashionists and others are Ameba Gold Fashionists.

For us - Rica and Alexa - it's better to be a Gummies Fashionist  'cause we won't waste real money for our Picos. Some people think that when Picos wear clothing bought with Gummies (sometimes called "newbie" clothes by condescending people) it means that they are poor. The people with this attitude are what we call AG Elitists.

An AG Elitist is someone who always wears clothing purchased with AG and they think they are the best. Not everyone who wears AG clothing is an "elitist"; only those who put down players who don't. Only those who feel and act as though Gummies clothes - and the people who wear them - are worthless.

Gummies clothing is absolutely worth it! Even decor and foods.

Putting together outfits with Gummies fashion requires a lot of creativity. It takes imagination to create a set of clothes out of the simplicity of Gummies items.

How do you know if you are a Gummies Fashionist?

• You prefer to wear items purchased with Gummies instead of AG clothes.
• You take time an have great pride in creating fashionable styles with Gummies.
• You're not not interested in wearing AG clothes.

Are all Gummies Fashionists poor? No, because they have to have a balance of money - earned money - to buy their Gummies items. If Gummies Fashionists were poor they'd be naked.



Don't be afraid or ashamed. You too can make your own sense of fashion sensibility by using clothing items bought with Gummies. While you're throwing together a look, don't forget to set a good example for your fellow Gummies Fashionists: don't be arrogant, be polite and treat others with fairness.

Not all "rich" Picos are bad to Gummies Fashionists. But many do act arrogant and put down others who aren't "rich". Sometimes we have seen this happen.

You can't judge a person by his or her clothing. Get to know the person behind the appearance.

What you wear isn't who you are. Your words and actions tell the kind of person you are.

If you ask us which is better - Gummies Fashionist or AG Fashionist - we would pick Gummies. We like it because we earn the money and don't any real cash. Not to mention Gummies fashion is colorful, challenging and fun.

AG Elitists?

Many Pico players are what I call "AG Elitists". Because they purchase Ameba Gold they think that they own Pico and that they're better than everyone. But how come? To enjoy a good life Picos simply need to be happy for the things you have in Pico that money can't buy: great friends with good hearts, fun times, a little space (room) of your own, etc.

Is AG really needed to enjoy Pico? ...
Players who live with this elitist attitude believe that wearing clothing and furnishing their rooms with decor bought with Ameba Gold is what makes time in Pico worthwhile. It's really not.

• There's nothing wrong with owning things that you like. But remember!: those things don't make you a better person. Owning virtual items in a game isn't more useful to your life. When a Pico looks down on another because they don't own AG items, it all becomes a big waste of money. It would be better for them to buy real food with that money instead.
• The way AG Elitists look at Pico life can be hurtful to others. Some AG Elitists call others who don't have AG "poor b*tches" and things that are much worse. What a horrible way to act towards others! Not to mention that is it against Ameba's Terms of Service to harass others.
• There are a lot of great things you can buy with Gummies or Tokens. AG isn't absolutely needed to buy and own some nice items. And ... with Gummies and Tokens you actually have to earn them; save up and buy them. For people who - for whatever reason - can't buy AG, this is really practical. Some people choose not to waste money on this game. 

Why do some Picos always wear AG clothes? For Picos who have a bad attitude this means ...

• They want to prove that they're rich. This really means that they are arrogant and insecure. Maybe they feel that there is no good part of their personality that people will like ... so they think having AG things will make them likeable.
• They want a boy or girl to tell them that they are "pretty or handsome".  Style is what you have. Not what you buy.
• They want others to be jealous of them and what they have.
• They are looking for a reason to make themselves feel - somehow - better than others ("elitists").

Players like me a quite happy to have clothing and decor items - even actions! - that we cost Gummies or Tokens. These things are nice and simple. "Nice and simple" is my preference and I like saving up and buying these items. Of course, if you have Gummies and Tokens you can't buy everything that Pico has to offer, but it doesn't affect how much you can enjoy the game. In the same way not all items in Pico can by bought with AG. Have you noticed that?

Why spend your time daydreaming about AG and all the things you can buy with it? This type of thinking could lead to becoming arrogant, mean, and putting yourself at a distance from other people. These ideas of "richness" and "wealth" are just silly.

Let's focus on being good people and having fun - however you choose to spend your money or time.

A warning about scammers from ten.ten.

Not long ago, Ayuhime wrote a very important post (How-to: prevent your Pico from being hacked) about carefully guarding your Pico user account from hackers. It's an important message.


Hackers will likely target people who have flashy avatars and beautiful rooms - people who have nice things.


Sometimes hackers will use means to silently crack into your account without you even knowing. At other times, they will come to you like a wolf in sheep's clothing, presenting themselves as very friendly. To put a very real spin on how hackers try to go about winning your confidence, please read another Pico's experience.


I would strongly suggest that anyone who is approached by a scammer to report them! 


Ironically, this particular scammer has a message on her Pico blog warning against - of all things - scamming.

Hello ... I am emailing you because I think you are a very well known Pico blog and can potentially warn many people of the dangers that can be found on Pico. I have recently been contacted by a Pico by the name of [ßυииiε cнαи]. I added her with the pretense of her being another kind Pico player but immediately she started asking me if I would like Ameba Gold. I told her that I don't need it hoping she wouldn't ask me what I thought she would.

She gave me the story that her mother was letting her give away 1,000 gold to a Pico friend and she chose me". I asked "Well, how will you give it away?". She said she just needed my email and password. I signed off after that.

I signed on again later in the day and she immediately asked me once again if I wanted Gold. Most was over private messages, but here is a bit of the conversation from chat.

H-hello? Wait.. Where-- a-am I? It's so empty here! HELLO!!! ANYBODY HOME?!



Where is everybody? Weren't all my friends on LAST WEEK?

YES. People like you and I (if, of course, somehow ... *whispers* aliens have a contact with Pico...) have been probably asking that question to yourselves. Where is everyone? Could our Pico population GROW EXTINCT?! [Cue dramatic music]

Or Are we FOREVER ALONE?!



No ... no ... we aren't. I feel like we keep descending into the darkness, losing each other one by one ... but we aren't! Are you missing one certain friend? Maybe they're a student (stupid school). Or maybe simply, they have abnormal things called lives duration (Yes! Muahaha! You'll never understandddd ... NEVER).

And remember, Peggy is also busy preparing for the next holiday season, 350 days or so away. Pinkerton is probably shoveling out snow, to get to his computer (very nostalgic, think about it; to see a man, trying to get to his computer, shoveling out snow with Mario Kart music playing in the background). Catero is probably out buying milk in a bag. Ayuhime is probably twinkling and singing kawaii Ayu songs with her brand new Rilakkuma.

And me, I'm suffering from strep, which has let me off the hook from the first day of school - after break, trust me, it's not cool having a knife in your throat.

But anyways, off topic! ...

WE ARE LOSING FAITH IN PICO. BELIEVEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Words of advice:

There will be fishing (I hope)
There will be more stores (hopefully)
We will get a trading system (pleeasee -.-)
There will be stuff (What else, pleasee -.-)
AND THERE WILL BE DIFFERENT KAWAII THEMED PLACES. (Yeahhh! -.-')





But, for now we just gotta BELIEVE. AND HAVE HOPEEE!

Hello Picostylers! This is me, Jean Royal. Today, I've been hanging around and I saw 3 fantabulous Christmas themed rooms!

So here they are ...

Wow-wow-wow! That's the only thing that I can say. And did you notice the purple Christmas tree? I wish my room could be as nice.

Imagine, being in the snowy city. Then you find a warm café and walk inside. Doesn't coming in from the cold and getting warm and comfy make you smile? This café may not look very Christmassy ... but you can still notice the little Christmas tree in the corner.

Ask my friends; I don't usually go to cafés (I think they're boring), but I could easily see myself coming here see me here to listen to my iPod and do homework.

And of course, this is my favorite. It's just SO creative! I wonder how many countless hours the owner of this room spent doing this.

Like the RO80 robots in the Flea Market that sell blocks say, 'It's time to be creative!'. I love the presents in the tree. It's different! And if you look closer you'll find a jukebox in the tree! Isn't that a great idea to add some atmosphere (maybe imitate the birds)?

How-to: Walk on water with butthead ☆ in Pigg

The lovable butthead ☆ (Pico ID) sent us a photo of herself walking on water in Pigg with an exuberant letter. With buttie's help can you figure out how to walk on water as well? I've tried it myself ... but I just can't seem to get it.

Guys! Look!

After 30 minutes of a lil' Japanese girl trying to explain to me how to do it, finally ... Ican walk on the water!! I guess if Jesus is my dad. LOL!

(I was surprised at first 'cause she could walk on the water and say 'hi' to me even though she couldnt speak English a lot :P )

I'll show you how to do it in 2 easy steps:

1. click on this fishing mat (orange arrow)
2. don't need to wait, hurry click this blue line!! (pink arrow)

If you're lucky enough, you can do it at first try ... but I did that like on the 12th try @_@ *wheww

Ora Bora and Pico Transformations

Hey Picostyle readers!

I just know this is going to come as a surprise … but get this: this is the post I have written for Picostyle about Pico life and the AMAZING, FEROCIOUS, SMARTICULOUS writers for the blog that I have come to know.



Have you guys noticed that some Picos change way too often? Yes? No? Maybe?! Well, me and Pegg Leg (that’s my nickname for Peggy, she calls me Ora Bora :3) notice that even we change a bit too much.

In the beginning of my Pico life I had short-short brown hair and really shiny blue eyes. Then I had long, flowy purple hair for about 4 weeks. Then came the dark brown hair pinned up in a bun. Then short, flowy hair that I kept for 1 or 2 weeks.

Now, I have that “Jesus” style hair. It’s blond and I have nice bangs and green eyes.

As for Peggy, I can’t keep up with all of her changes. When I first met her, she had the side-pony, tannish skin, and bright neon pink lips. Then I learned she had an obsession with always changing her appearance … and it rubbed off on me. I started to follow that track too! Almost EVERY time I saw her, she had a brand-new hair cut!

Now, Catero, I don't even remember him changing - he's always been the same! Good luck not getting caught in the time warp Cat!

Good old Pinky … he’s had a little change! From short, boyish hair he went on to a longish cut, which I think is well suited for his Pinkerton attitude! Happy Late Bifday, bud! :3 YOTSUBA-POWER (Japanese translation: “yotsuba” means clover in English -- DUH xD)!!!

As far as I know, sweet_mom has NEVER had a change. She's always been as pretty as ever. <3

Gemmy (my Gem Rock), WTF! She is always changing! Probably the first time I met her she had a blond bun with styled bangs. Then she transformed into what I call a dark Poison Ivy look. Now, at least looking she’s sporting an Edo wiggie! :9
