This is Halloween, This is Halloween!

Hopefully from reading the title of this blog update, you sang along with me... although I'm sure there are a few of you who shouted "no, this is SPARTA" instead. If you don't know which song I'm referring to, please educate yourself and watch the movie it's from. I was originally going to title this Holy Updates, Batman! Pt. 2 since there are, yet again, a handful of things to talk about. In the end I decided to dedicate the majority of this to the new Halloween items, and afterwards I will talk briefly about the other features. Ready? Set? Read!

This morning I stumbled out of my bed, as usual, and over to the computer. I knew there would be a new update awaiting me on Pico, but I wasn't sure what it could possibly be. The official blog said maintenance was for a "new function," so I was expecting something small. When my room finally finished loading, I saw some surprising things.

Halloween balloons

Halloween balloons! I nearly jumped out of my chair to dance in joy, but then I remembered I cannot dance. At all. Two of my friends were kind enough to leave me these balloons, and they also added my room to their "favorites." I'll talk more about that later. Anyways, after seeing this, I was very excited. My eyes wandered around and noticed a few other things as well...

Holy Updates, Batman!

Hello, Pico friends. Now that I've cooled down a bit from rant week, I decided to write up a quick little post talking about some of the new additions which were implemented to Pico over the past week or so. You may have noticed one already, but there's a couple which I don't think everyone is completely aware about yet. Let's get started!

Here's a question for you. Have you ever seen something that you wanted to buy, but you weren't entirely sure if that hat/shirt/watch/etc. would look good on your Pico avatar? I think we all take that chance with buying items we're unsure of, and there's at least one purchase we made which we all regret...

huge mistake

Yeah, I see you laughing over there. And, honestly, I don't blame you. Anyways, I'm glad to announce that there's a new feature which let's you preview the items before you buy them! I remember saying a few days ago how this would be a neat feature to include, and here it is. I'm beginning to think the higher-ups at Ameba Headquarters are spying on me.

To try it out yourself, simply click on "Shop" at the bottom (or travel to a location that has some items you want). At first, things look normal.

But once you click on something...

... you get to actually see the article of clothing on your avatar. Just note that you can't try two things on at once, though, such as a shirt and some pants. Oh, and another thing. Because some people want to get a better idea of how the clothes will look without layering it over the clothes they have on already, you may start to notice a bunch of naked Picos roaming around.

Don't worry. They are just previewing the items. I hope.

Viva Mexico!

Pico provides us a diversity of wonderful places to visit… China, Hawaii, New York, Tokyo, Japan, New Zealand, and Las Vegas. We can even travel back in time to Ancient Egypt, the Age of Exploration, and the Stone Age. However, have you ever wish they would bring to us your country, city or even your favorite theme place or era?

Mexico

I would love to see my mother’s birth place brought to us, beautiful Mexico!
With its diverse colonial and modern architectures, the barrios, floating gardens, and beautiful scenery, who wouldn’t want to visit? Imagine at the shop purchasing the folkloric colorful dresses, the big hair bows and flowers. For the guys, the traditional charro and mariachi apparel. Also being able to buy a Mexican folk dance (considered one of the most stunning expression of its kind). And let’s not forget the food… enchiladas, tacos, tamales and my dear Catero’s favorite… flautas.

Theme Place

How about a circus full of clowns, acrobats, animal trainers, trapeze acts, musicians, hoopers, tightrope walkers, and unicyclists. Being able to purchase their costumes and why not some of their amazing skills (for actions)? Wouldn’t that be fun?

Era

The 50’s, the era of rock and roll! With those polka dot or poodle skirts and the T Bird jackets for the guys, who wouldn’t want to get up and dance their feet off to the music of Elvis or Little Richard!

These are a few places I personally would like to see… how about you PicoStyle fans?

Let me know what’s on your mind!
