How To: Have a Healthy Romantic Relationship

Picos everywhere are desperate for love! Maybe it's the winter season upon us, but the need to be loved and have a companion is very strong. Sadly, heartbreak comes easier than not, but it can be a little easier to avoid with a few simple tips to keep in mind!

lol "meats"

First, DON'T BE DESPERATE! You know what I mean people! Going about and advertising your single identity is not the way to go about it! That's what classifieds are for, and those are kind of sketchy... Jumping at the first person to show any interest in your plea is weak. Are you even getting what you want?
If you have any respect for yourself, play hard to get. This means having people BEG for you! That's right, you can MAKE that happen! Don't believe me? Well, just keep reading...

Now, think, why do you WANT a boyfriend / girlfriend? Are you trying to be trendy? Are you getting revenge on someone? Are you just bored? If you answered yes to any of these, you shouldn't seek the attention of a lover just yet... give it some time.

Once you've decided that you really DO want to give it a try in a relationship, you have to think about what you WANT from a relationship. What does this mean, exactly? Make a checklist.
  • What do you expect in a partner in regards to his or her manners? What about personality?
  • Is it important that you and your partner have the same interests?
  • Do you prefer a person who is outgoing and social or calm and selective?
  • What type of energy level do you expect in a partner?
  • How do you expect your partner to treat you? Equally or cater to you?
  • What type of relationship are you expecting? Committed or a fling?
I know it seems like a lot to think about, but if you don't, you might end up being disappointed with someone... and being disappointed is a really hard thing to do...

Now that we have that established, we have to work on your communication skills! Remember how I said that you shouldn't just advertise HEY EVERY1 I'M SINGLE LOLOLOL!!! ? Yeah, don't do that >.<
Instead of expecting opportunities to come to you, go out and get your own opportunities! Just like in real life, that's how it works. Go to your favorite place in Pico, sit around for a bit and Pico-watch. Observe people for a little while and if you see someone that you think is cute, go up and start talking with them.
PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DON'T BE AWKWARD! LOL! Don't say stupid cliche awkward things like "Come here often?" I would gag my intestines out if anyone ever said that to me.
Guess what! I will let you in on the biggest secret in the entire world. The BEST pickup line IN THE WORLD, for both MEN AND WOMEN IS

"Hi."

:O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHO'DA THUNK IT!? So, start off by saying hi! If the person walks away uninterested, then back off. They aren't worth your precious time.
When talking to someone, compliment them. DON'T BE CREEPY, but just tell them what a cool hairstyle they have, or that they have good taste in fashion. If you rush into telling someone that they are attractive, most people are turned off. Start with the basics. "How are you?" "What is your favorite game on Pico?" "What kind of music do you like?"
After a SUCCESSFUL conversation, ASK if it is okay to add them as a friend. If they say no, DO NOT pester them. It will only end badly for you.

ONLY AFTER BECOMING A BIT CLOSER SHOULD YOU ASK IF YOUR RELATIONSHIP CAN GO TO THE NEXT LEVEL. Be polite, be respectful, be patient.

Biggest tip: Don't rush. If someone is going to be special in your life, they're going to be around for a very, very long time.

I've done all I can for you, young grasshopper. Good luck! If you need more advice, please send me a message or leave a comment or something. I'll be glad to help :) But please, don't ask me WHY WON'T THEY CALL ME BACK!??!?!!??!?! I'll answer now: because you're annoying. LOL

Love,
Ayuhime xoxoxox

  2. AHAHAHAH LOVELY POST!
question: should I have pico bf when i do have a bf irl? :| im very alone in pico and occasionally bump to a couple of acquaintances so uhm, pico life is very dull for me. I thought adding spice to it by looking for a pico bf, do you recommend that?

  3. LOL!! When you said don't say "Come here often?"

  4. @Yapo: Hmm, this is a tough question. It depends on how you and your boyfriend define cheating. If your BF IRL considers it cheating, you may want to avoid it. But explain that it's just for game purposes and that your love is strictly platonic to your Pico lover. As long as it remains innocent and things don't get too out of hand, you may be able to handle both.
It's important to not keep secrets from our partner, so make sure you talk it over :) <3

LOL @Anonymous you are correct :D

  5. Great post!, Yet its true, some peoples just say/or make events Saying "NEEDS A H0T BF!" then when they find a BF, you might not now he's a cheater,Like somedays you'll find him Ignoring you, or you found him with another girl, So before you choose a guy test him (Like ask him his favorite color, Food ETC.) Now if you find him Perfect then ok date him, Not like "I NEED A H0T BF" Then when sum1 cames in you say "I Choose you h0ttie" Thats just so WRONG
