How-to: Get the Edo Stars!

Now that Edo has been released on Pico, it's also brought us a total of 3 new stars to earn in our little blue books. As always when new stars are released, there are some misconceptions and some confusion on how to earn them. For the most part, the Edo stars are simple to earn... but I can see why a couple of them would cause people to start pulling their hair out in frustration. If you are having trouble, feel free to keep reading and hopefully this will aid you in your star quest!

Goal: Play Team Arithmetic
Earn: 150 Gummies

Edo star - Team Arithmetic

This is, by far, the easiest Edo star to get. And if you hate math, you will be happy to learn that you don't even have to play the game in order to get it. After visiting the area...

... all you have to do is click on one of the little sheets of paper to enter the game. After that, you will earn the star. Yep, I told you it was easy! Once you are done, feel free to exit out of the game and continue on with your Pico life.

Goal: Meet the Edo Lord
Earn: 300 Gummies

For the next star, you will have to visit the "Ooku Hallway." That is easier said then done, though, because there's a guaranteed waiting period of at least 5 minutes before you can get in.

Edo - hallway

Remember how I said earlier that some of the stars can be frustrating to earn? This is one of them. The way to earn it seems simple: all you have to do is watch the Edo Lord march out of his chamber. However, this is not always easy because nearly everyone in the room has to sit down in order for him to march out. As you will see, there are some people who would rather purposely stand in the middle of the room and give you the old "NO, MAKE ME SIT DOWN LOLOL" routine. The only advice I have is to be patient. Eventually everyone will sit down, and when they do...

The Edo Lord finally marches out and you earn your star/gummies.

Goal: Witness a ghost
Earn: 150 gummies

Edo star - Ghost

For the final star, you will need to travel to the Jokamachi area.

Edo - jokamachi

Some may think the previous star was the most difficult, but I personally think this one is the trickiest. Why? Because everyone sees the ghost at a different time. And why is this? Because of different time zones. Before going on, allow me to clear up this common misconception:

You do not need to do the Ee ja nai ka dance for the ghost to appear.

Many people get confused with that, but the only area where dancing does anything is at the Stone Age and Sunset Beach. Again, you do not need to dance for the ghost to appear.

Moving on... since the ghost appears at a specific time, I can only offer you a little advice on how to find it. Try going to Jokamachi at nighttime. I was able to see it around 7:00pm-9:00pm, so hopefully it will be there around that time for you. Once you find the ghost (which will always be under the tree near the dock):

Make sure you click on it. When you do, you will get your star! As I said, the ghost appears at different times. I will keep trying to pinpoint the exact time that it shows up so I can better help clear the confusion a bit. The ghost stays around for quite a while before leaving, though, so don't worry if you aren't able to get there exactly when it turns to night on Pico.

  1. Oh and the Hula Dance brings out the Fire Dancers on the Beach!!!!

  2. Sweet guides! :D Any idea how to see the "clown" lord? I've only ever seen the proper looking one that yells "Bring me that Girl!" I've heard anything from needing to have all 30 seated to it being a day vs night thing?

  3. Thanks for the comments, everyone! Glad I could help out. And to Niu: Are you saying that there are two different Edo Lords that show up in Pico? If so, this is the first time I've heard of it. I know there's a more "traditional" lord over on Pigg, but I figured they excluded the traditional lord on Pico for whatever reason and swapped it with the "clown" lord that's in my picture. But, if Pico has TWO types of lords then this is very interesting news. I'll have to see what I can find out about that!

  4. I've tried to camp the "clown" lord in Pico over the weekend, but I only ever see the "traditional" one! I did manage to see both types of lords in Pigg. I'm starting to think that it's time based~ I had my Pigg hang out for a bit in the Ameba Pigg hallway on Sunday, at first I kept seeing the traditional one then suddenly only the clown one would appear~

  5. What time zone would it be for California?

  6. @тωιx♥ℓσνє, the time that Ameba uses in announcing its event times is PST: Pacific Standard Time (USA & Canada).
