Peggy & Fruit Salad.

Remember the entry I wrote about doppelgangers and how it would be kinda of an honor to meet one! Fruit Salad, you complete me. She's like the cooler version of Peggy Hill with her punk rocker boots and upper lip liner. Fruity does her hair a bit differently but I totally did a double take when I stopped by her room. Accidental Pico-twin HOTNESS is way kawaii.

But then there are those who are truly devoted...


You always know who they are, the ones who have spent time and gummies/AG to coordinate their looks, appearance, and sometimes... even animations. They are eye catching, sometimes hilariously jaw dropping and more often then not... radiating personality. I can't help it! I can never resist propping twins. How do they get away with this?! Mesmerizing us into propping submission?! Maybe it was just me... I knew I had to investigate.



Meet M. Bogart, he's cool he's slick he's Mortie's better looking twin. He's so slick that he even scored Mortie and him dates to the Pico Prom! Twin dates of course! Aren't they fabulous?



Apparently, there's something special about twin Picos. I'm not sure what it but after this experiment I have learned that I'm not the only one who finds them charming and prop-worthy. Everywhere Mortie and Bogart went they got the props and the rings. They made Peggy look unpopular! I guess it's true, two is always better than one.

Whispering up some canine obedience

Each time I log in to Pico, I am instantly met with an unhappy squiggle  from Verona, my bratty black puppy. What happened to the days of and after coming home from a long day at work?

Verona refuses to eat or play; she only wants to pace back-and-forth making that little squiggle - what I imagine must be a vague canine obscenities.

I have been plagued by her insolent behavior for about 2 weeks. But now, I'm taking back my space ... and squiggly lines from pixelated dogs aren't welcome.

As a frustrated pet owner, I turned to the authority on rehabilitating dogs and training dog owners to be pack leaders. His advice: take the pooch for a walk. Is it really that simple? Yes.

If you're having issues with your puppy being insolent, just take him/her for a walk outside. Let him or her get some fresh air, romp with other pets and work out some of that pent up energy that's causing the case of the squiggles.



Pets are welcome in any of the Beginners Plaza, West Forest, Park Pond, World Community Park or Nakamise St. rooms.

Hang out until your pet relaxes and comes to you freely and without hesitation when you click any of your tricks buttons (e.g. Pet, Lift Up, Paw, Sit, Lie Down, etc.).  While strolling, if your pup gets hungry , just feed 'em right there in the park.

Taking your pet for a walk is essential! Aside from feedings (premium food is not required, by the way), getting out and spending time with you will increase their 'Mood' and 'Relation.

Prom 2010.

Though prom lasts for one night, Pico is bringing it to us in 27 days of boogie bliss. For just shy of one month, the NY Academy high school gymnasium will be transformed into a magical place filled with colored strobe lights and throbbing music where even the most undesirable nerds stand to cop a feel ... if the mood is right.

Though the mundaneness of the oppressive gym setting is merely covered up by balloons, sparkley themed wall decals, and streamers, prom holds great significance for most high schoolers. It's one of those nights that radiates with that "forever young" feeling - that you can live forever, that anything is possible and that the night will never end.



In Pico, guys and dolls can visit the Path to the Prom room in the Travel menu (formerly High School Corridor room) and visit the snappily dressed Prom Shop merchant to pick out their prom wear. There are several styles and colors of boutonnières, corsages, hair flowers, pumps, loafers, gowns and tuxes to choose from.

Once your hair is primped and gelled to perfection and you've slithered into your fancy clothes, head on down to the Prom Party Hall room (formery the High School Gym room) and get dancing (or clustering against the wall until you get asked to dance or muster up the courage to ask someone yourself)!

Facebook users can gift boutonnières and corsages to their sweetheart(s).

While the night is still young, don't forget to mosey over to the Prom Action Shop (I don't know why they would name it this, 'cause "prom action" is something totally different ... *wink wink*) for 1 of 3 animations.

It didn't take long for our lovable Peggy to get swept up in the festive occasion. Check out the slideshow below (click to play). Profiles #3

This installment is all about the ladies - the cuties, the creeps and the Type A personalities.

(1) "STOP! Drop ... nevermind". What a tease! She leaves us feelin' sorta used. But we like it. ;-)
(2) Perverted poets need to gain inspiration somewhere. Who knew Pico would be their Ground Zero. This "My Fair Lady (of the Night)" simultaneously romances and repulses us with her sexy sexy words. Like a mysterious Lady Gaga-type figure.
(3) "Hill, will you accept this rose?" This Bachelorette wannabe is taking matters into her own hands. Who needs a TV show or Lavalife when you can screen your prospects through Pico buddy requests?
(4) The thing I like most about this Cassie Steele lover's profile is the fact that her graphically disturbing thoughts about blood-soaked hair are contrasted by the poor spelling of her own name (it's Norwegian, not Norweign) and her charming jaunty blue bow. (I didn't give her props because I thought she might think I approve of whatever blood-and-drug rituals she uses in her hair coloring routine.)

Gacha: Now and then

At Pico's launch in March 2010, players were introduced to Gacha as a main navigation icon alongside 'Decor', 'Pocket' and 'Shop'.



Pico players could take their chances at the gashapon machine at any place and at any time since it was part of the navigation options.

I'm not sure about you, but I have mixed feelings about this week's changes to Gacha.

As of May 31, Gacha has been removed from the user interface and made into a public room vendor, accessible to those who visit any of the Beginners Plaza rooms.

I can't help but let my curiosity get the best of me, as I wonder what has prompted the developers of Pico to make this change.

Did they need to drive more traffic to Beginners Plaza?
Did they feel this change would make people more aware of Gacha?
Is Gacha still a part of the sign-up tutorial? If yes, how (since it's context has changed)?

Moments after the announcement on the official Pico blog Beginners Plaza rooms were jam-packed and overflowed to 26 rooms (most of which were filled to capacity)! So, it's obvious that we love Gacha.

It's about dang time that Gem Rocker is back so that I could show her this jaw dropping... wanna pee in your pants and jump up and down stylish pad. It's like an upscale boutique hotel says Gem and I totally agree. Maximum occupancy: 2 unless you wanna sleep in your mud bath. We're guessing the very top floor is a spa complete with mud caking facilities! If I had to pick only one winner for Ameba Pico's room contest this would be my pick! This four story room is so well designed that I wonder if sai usagi sat at her desk in real life and drew up blueprints so she'd know exactly how many blocks she needed to buy, etc... sai usagi, I think I love you!

Summer Colors: Orange & Yellow.

Ameba must have been reading my mind because I've been wondering when they would be updating their Colorful Series collection and they just did! YES! Summer Colors for Colorful Series are here AND you can now buy male and female clothes! I hope this isn't a glitch because I love being able to buy boys clothing too. As per usual... Peggy is super poor but that's okay -Merl- was willing to help model some of the female line. Work it girl... errr... BOY!
