FINALLY!

Does anyone remember that I was enduring a tireless journey to find a Pink Panda a few months ago? I ended up putting my search on hold when I lost my patience.

Well, per Pinkerton's advice, I started hopping empty Mushroom Forests hoping that miraculously a Pink Panda would somehow show up.

HOLY SH*T IT DID! But alas, I only had 540 gold! (Pandas cost 600) so I immediately started freaking out, knowing that I was doomed to lose her. Then, I immediately opened another browser, logged Ayuboy, warped to AyuHime, and tried covering the Pink Panda until I could get enough gold XD

As my heart was racing, I reluctantly bought 500 gold and reset that baby as fast as I could. The Pink Panda was still available! OMG! THAT MOTHER F&%@$NG PANDA IS FINALLY MINE!

Sorry, I'm a little excited n_n I hope Peggy and Catero don't kick me off of the team for my rampant swearing XD Oh and I'm sorry that I'm posting on a day that's not mine! THIS IS TOO IMPORTANT!

Snuggle, Snuggle.

Hello hello! Gembear is currently on the move and working the streets of RL so I thought I'd fill the void for a little while. Don't worry Sunday Funnies will be back soon!



Anywho, do you guys remember the entry I wrote about James being a snuggler? If you don't you can read it here...

Since writing this entry, I've gotten a lot of feedback from friends about their own pets' snuggling habits. Most tell me that their pets will not snuggle them on their own but while hanging out with my friend Mako, he went afk and his pet climbed up onto his lap! This is the first time I've ever witnessed another Pico's pet doing this and out of curiosity I checked his pup's personality traits and I think I've figured it out.

Remember this is just a hypothesis but I think "Obedient" and "Pampered" pets are more likely to snuggle their owners of their own free will than pets with other character traits. Lemme know if I'm completely off base! But check out this epic cuteness!!

Double the Pico, Double the Fun?

I am discovering a lot lately that several Pico players have created and control a second Pico account.

I've cleverly deduced a number of reasons:

• Some have another Pico to create a twin of them (twins are the "in" thing, people!)/
• Perhaps their first account got banned :x
• Constructing devious plans for Pico takeover, or
• Simply helping out their main Pico

Even I have created a second Pico account, MattoVarius. Originally, I created it in hopes that my boyfriend would play. Turns out, it's not really his thing. So I took over playing, and realized how I could use MattoVarius to my advantage. I could send myself exclusive Facebook gifts and give myself props, rings, and food daily.

Am I cheating?

STILL in search of pandas ...

It's Wednesday's with Ayuhime! Woop woop

Yes that's right, I haven't found my pink panda yet... I've practically lived on the farms since my last post, staying on for several hours at a time. Well, there's tons of problems that I'm encountering;

• There are only 3 farms open right now, which leaves a very limited chance for panda arrival.
• Maaaany other players are as diligent as me and also happen to be looking for colored pandas =_=;
• I've been introduced to the "reset" phenomenon, in which players empty the farm so new animals will be replaced, but not everyone is willing to cooperate.

Really, it's a battle to the death for pandas. I'm not even kidding. People are SERIOUS about their pandas. Check out this Facebook thread where people are mad because they can't find a panda: [Important] To Ameba Pico Staffs Regarding Pandas Seriously, these people are PISSED!

But all in all, I've made a few friends during this torture journey, including Yuririn here, who has also helped me practice my Japanese along the way. I've received helpful hints from seasoned panda searchers as well. Hopefully their advice will follow through. Also, here's me and Peggy sporting our new looks. Aren't we HAWT?

Peggy and James.

Gemmy's favorite pup is definitely Mignon and lately I find myself falling more and more in love with my baby Boston Terrier, James. Maybe it's because ever since I've been on Pico I've had my heart set on owning one and after faithfully waiting for more than several months... I was able to purchase James <3 She is the sweetest epileptic doggy around!

There's something special about James, she does something that I never notice George or Zeus ever doing. She snuggles me! I have noticed on several occasions after returning from being AFK that my idle Pico is snuggling James on the floor. This has happened more than 10 times and Pico/Pigg pet owners know that if you're standing or sitting on the floor and you click a pet action, your pet will just come over and perform that action.

So why does this happen? Maybe it's true love!

In search of pandas

Hullo~ It's Ayuhime.

Last night I had a dream that I found a PINK panda at the Pet Farm! Yeah I'm a loser an addict and dream about Pico, but those Pink Pandas sure are cute :3

So, tra la la, I log onto Pico and make my way over onto the Pet Farms... only to realize that coming across a panda is going to take time, not to mention a PINK one... URGH!


My life for the next few weeks @_@

No offense dog, cat and turtle, but you're just not a pink panda.

 So now I'm trying to get into the inner workings of Pico here ... because there's got to be some sort of formula involved for when pandas arrive and what color they will be. I notice most of the colored pandas are with Japanese players, so do they appear mostly during Japanese daytime? Somebody's gotta know something, do if you so, SPILL THE BEANS! Do I park my butt on a bench and wait? Do I jump from farm to farm hoping to spot one? Agh the frustration! I'll keep you updated on my (possibly never-ending) search for a Pink Panda.

Jenneh has another trick up her sleeve, she built a maze the other afternoon. I immediately got last from start to finish.. and back again!


If you're looking for hints on how to get out, don't look this way! Dear lord. Don't just don't set out the minotaur in this labyrinth Jenneh!

You've seen us blog a lot on dogs. The truth is, I'm pretty sure we are all dog ladies here at Pico Style. Between all of us we own 8 dogs ! You won't see us blog very much about other pets.. but a few of our friends have adopted some cute ones!

Jesus himself has even grabbed himself a golden friend.



Personally I think they look like a thumb with a face drawn on it. Maybe that's the charm :).

(Ok ok ,so Peggy is laughing at my "thumb remark" up there because she knows that I think of it as something different. I won't delight you in drawing a diagram of what, I'll just say.. it reminds me of something uncircumcised.)

More pets in Pico

Instead of the usual 9 rooms, Pet Farm has bumped up their numbers today to 15 to accommodate gawkers like me who want to see the newly released Boston Terriers and tortoises.

These new pets are slightly more pricey than the cats and puppies. For 500 Ameba Gold you can bring home one of these companions.

Since Peggy and I first traveled to Pigg and discovered pets, Peggy has been yearning for a Boston Terrier to call her own. When she logs in today, once again, she's gonna freak out and run to the farm to pick up a new furry friend. But which gender and which color?

I think Peggy will look out for a female who is pink. She likes flamboyancy.

[Update] I was wrong. Peggy chose blue!

This is Jenneh's room. When you warp in the first thing you will notice is the crazy amount of pet food she is storing but Jenneh has no pets... So what's up with all the pet food?!

Pure Genius! This Pico has found a way for loving pet owners and dead beat pet owners to come together for the well-being of all pets. It's kind of a symbiotic relationship that benefits well... er. just the dead beat pet owners, I bet the pet owners who donate feel good though! All the food you see in the above photo has been donated, Jenneh merely stores and distributes the food to hungry pets that stop by. Either way, I think she is doing a huge service for the Pico Community, may no pet go unfed as long as Jenneh is around.

So if you ever see a starving pet at the Park Pond or you can't afford to feed your own pet... stop by Jenneh's room. There should be some food for your pet there just remember when you've restocked your own supply to be so kind as to donate some for the next starving pet. Don't use this as your own personal pantry! If you can't feed your pet you shouldn't have one.

Whispering up some canine obedience

Each time I log in to Pico, I am instantly met with an unhappy squiggle  from Verona, my bratty black puppy. What happened to the days of and after coming home from a long day at work?

Verona refuses to eat or play; she only wants to pace back-and-forth making that little squiggle - what I imagine must be a vague canine obscenities.

I have been plagued by her insolent behavior for about 2 weeks. But now, I'm taking back my space ... and squiggly lines from pixelated dogs aren't welcome.

As a frustrated pet owner, I turned to the authority on rehabilitating dogs and training dog owners to be pack leaders. His advice: take the pooch for a walk. Is it really that simple? Yes.

If you're having issues with your puppy being insolent, just take him/her for a walk outside. Let him or her get some fresh air, romp with other pets and work out some of that pent up energy that's causing the case of the squiggles.



Pets are welcome in any of the Beginners Plaza, West Forest, Park Pond, World Community Park or Nakamise St. rooms.

Hang out until your pet relaxes and comes to you freely and without hesitation when you click any of your tricks buttons (e.g. Pet, Lift Up, Paw, Sit, Lie Down, etc.).  While strolling, if your pup gets hungry , just feed 'em right there in the park.

Taking your pet for a walk is essential! Aside from feedings (premium food is not required, by the way), getting out and spending time with you will increase their 'Mood' and 'Relation.

I want a French Bulldog.

Hey guys! Peggy here, hanging out with Catero at the dog park! I always feel bad when I take one pup with me places because that means I have to leave the other one at home which really sucks. I've been hard at work taking surveys to save up for a third pet... That way if I take one of them out there will be two at home to keep each other company... yeah I know, I worry too much about my digital pups. I worry so much that I've been spending a lot of time at home in front of the TV just so I don't have to play favorites..


They're so cute, sweet and lovable!

I've been debating whether or not to get a panda because I'm not a cat person but really what I'm dying to get is a French Bulldog! Sadly, they're only available in Pigg, so sometimes I go to the Pet Farm there just watch them run around.



AMEBA! Sell French Bulldogs in PICO!!! Please?! I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER. Until then, I'm going to save my Ameba gold coins in hopes that the French Bulldog will someday be released for Pico. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! I wanna be a dog lady... and have all three of my pets be dogs!

In other news... Catero and I have been spotting funky colored pandas! He saw a pink one and I just ran into a green one at the dog park. This gives me hope that Ameba will soon be releasing more colored pets.

Peggy's Puppy Love

Have you all been keeping up with what's been going on around here? Peggy has completely lost it! She is in total puppy love mode ... and when you see her in Pico she rambles on about purple canines and equality for all. For all fur colors, that is. It's pretty intense.

Peggy is always smothering her "chubby little sausages", as she calls them, with love and attention and letting them run amok in her room. Sleeping on the kitchen counter. The very mention that they are merely pixels will send her into the shakes. She is so worried about whether they are eating enough and if she's taking them out for walks long enough and the fact that she can only take one out at a time - thinking that she's a bad "mother" for not being able to do both even though Pico's programming prevents her from doing so. One at a time, sister!

Regardless of her nutty behavior, it's good to see Peggy getting so much enjoyment out of her little pups.

That being said, pet's have definitely added another layer to Pico that's quite entertaining! Their cute shenanigans, not to mention the fact that they seem to put people in a good mood.

I wonder if the developers of Pico will eventually incorporate turtles and French bulldogs like there are in Pigg or give us entirely new little buddies to romp around with.

Only time will tell.

In the meantime, I will just have to put up with Peggy's creepy mutt lovey-doveyness.

Comments like these should not deter you from buying one of these rare colored pups! I, Peggy, want to make sure that you know that even pink and purple pups need love! Since I cannot become a dog lady due to Ameba's three pet maximum rule.. I encourage you to snatch these guys up before I start off on a crusade for equal love for strange colored dogs :X

I didn't intend on buying another dog so soon but I couldn't help myself. This lil purple dude just was running around the Pet Farm and no one wanted him! I kept hearing people coo over the black pup even though he was a narcissist yet no love for this social puppy! I finally gave in and snatched him up. He's a keeper! The only set back I'm having now is that I'm suffering from multiple pet owner stress... LOL!

I don't really understand why we can only bring with us one pet at a time. I feel all guilty leaving either George or Zeus at home when going out to hang with friends or when I make my usual rounds for props and rings. Which leads to my next dilemma... do I buy a third pet?! OH-MAI-GAH!!

PS: My Pico-Stylers compadres better start blogging soon so it doesn't look like it's the Peggy Hour 24/7 on here! You know who you are -coughs-

George.

I'm really falling hard for George. He seriously cracks me up and gets me into a lot of trouble! I take my pup everywhere and on one of my ringing tours my lil butterball ate someone's dog food. What killed me was that it was their expensive premium dog food that you have to buy with Ameba gold :X! AND the owner was there!!!!! In a matter of a minute after exchanging polite hellos and bows with the owner my little pup managed to eat their dog food. What surprised me was a) pets can eat other pets' food and b) the owner had both the regular dog food and the premium stuff and Georgie went straight for the good stuff! Let's just say we bolted really fast after that.



I love you Georgie! If you guys any cute pet stories you wanna share lemme know!

Things to Know About Owning a Pet:

If you have a pet already, you know that if you click on your pet it pulls up it's profile quite similar to your own. On it, it lists four things: Personality, Gender, Mood and Relation. The more you interact with your pet the higher your Relation number. I am pretty sure your number updates daily.

There are also two buttons that enable you to pet or lift your pet. Only the owner can lift their pets. Strangers can only pet your animal. If you want to pet someone's pet the key is to get really close and then click the pet button.

Owners can also call their pet over to them. It's case sensitive, for example, I've named my pup George, if I type "george" he will not come to me because I did not type the G as an uppercase.

George eats A LOT! Catero says the same about his Verona. It seems the more you log the more often you have to feed your pet. Our pups eat 2-3 times a day.

You can have your pet follow you around at all times or if you prefer, you can leave them at home. I've noticed that your pet aren't allowed in certain areas like in NYC Downtown or at the Pet Farms. Even though you can own up to three pets you're only allowed to bring one pet with you at a time.

When I logged onto Pico today I nearly peed my pants! Someone had put Ameba gold coins into my account and I knew there could only be one person sneaky enough to do that. Catero knew I've been dying to get a doggy ever since I've seen them in Pigg. I couldn't get coins so of course he came to the rescue! I spent about 30 minutes picking out a doggy and finally picked a brown one. Meet George! He's affable and mysterious LOL. Thank you so much Cat! Me love you long time!



In other news... Ameba has just released a HUGE mess of clothing for guys and gals at the Newbie Area. You can buy everything with gummies and I'm happy to report that it's all cute goodies that have been previously released in Pigg! Just look at all this STUFF!!! I'm officially broke but that's okay cause I'm doing it stylin'!

Pets in Pigg and Pico!

Today, pets have been released in Pico! Visitors to Pigg will have enjoyed them for quite some time. Pets follow you almost everywhere, let you scratch their bellies and are adorable additions to your Pigg accessories.

Thus far, in Pigg users have the option of buying 4 types of pets: cats, dogs (Boston Terrier and (nondescript) puppy), tortoises, and the ultra rare panda bears. At this point, only cats and the (nondescript) puppy have been released in Pico.

These furry friends come in a variety of colors - not only natural/neutral tones, but bright pink, yellow and blue as well. There's a pet out there that is your favorite color.

The best part about Ameba's pets are:

1. you don't have to pick up any poop for dogs or clean litter boxes for cats
2. there are no unsavory "pet smells"
3. they won't chew your slippers or scratch your furniture
4. when the novelty of pet ownership wears off you can send them back to the farm for someone else to enjoy with a simple button-click.
5. you can never be a cat lady, as there is a limit of 3 pets per owner
6. you won't be embarrassed by your pets bad behavior (no need for the Dog Whisperer, since pets are pretty mellow
