Just to prove that Ameba is taking advantage of the innocent youth of today, I spun the Ribbon premium gacha 14 times at 50AG per spin.
700AG blown in a matter of seconds and six ribbon cushions later. I wanted to sock whoever decided to give out a ribbon cushion almost every other spin! WTF?!
Did this happen to anyone else?? Did ANYONE actually get the blond wig? I think not!

I wished I could say that I'm all that surprised but I'm not. Having been quite busy, I've neglected logging onto Pico for about a month (I'm sorry Instigator! May will bring lots of blog posts!). Keeping my fingers crossed... I logged onto Pico tonight hoping (more like praying) that Ameba would wow me back into submission. I even purchased AG thinking I might review some new items...
Well, I'm going to have to be a little bit more patient and sit on most of the AG I purchased.
Looking at the news bulletin I could tell right away that Ameba is mainly still premium gacha orientated. I'm disappointed. Why can't we just buy the stuff we want? I know I sound like a broken record but it's ridiculous that because our demographic is mainly children Ameba feels like they can take advantage. Yeah, I said it, I think Ameba is taking advantage of children! Granted, there has been increase in premium gacha machines in Pigg as well but at least they get a chance to spin once for free... which to me screams that the Japanese Pigg players are not diggin' on the premium gacha either. No one likes to give anything away for free if they don't have to.
Ameba, you couldn't even create some new sakura items? I call bull***t! Stop being lazy and greedy! Create some items that aren't for premium gacha that are new and exciting. I'm disenchanted and utterly underwhelmed at this point.
Anywho, I'll try to end on a positive note. The newly released wigs at the sakura room are actually kinda cute. I'm going to get a lot of use out of this one!
Hopefully, next time my post will be filled with fun new things to see and buy but for now I'm left with quite a bitter taste in my mouth.

The Revamped Info Menu You can now access the latest information posts in a more dynamic visual pop-up box. I'm sure this was developed to entice people to keep abreast of happenings in Pico.
The newly redesigned info box boasts eye-catching icons for each news item and stresses ease-of-use with the "Go To Area" button. As always, you can click the snippets of text to warp to the official Pico blog.

The Revitalization of the Chaulin Temple
New life is breathed into the Chaulin Temple with the introduction of two new Gacha vendors - Premium Gacha for 50AG a spin and Gummie Gacha for 100 Gummies a spin.
Gummies Gacha contains those goodies from last springs Chinese Mystery Box campaign.
Premium Gacha is filled with wigs, costumes and props associated with characters from the Chinese classic story Journey to the West (西遊記 / Xī Yóu Jì), considered to be one of the four great novels in Chinese literature.
Journey to the West has a strong background in Chinese folk religion, Chinese mythology and value systems; the pantheon of Taoist immortals and Buddhist bodhisattvas is still reflective of some Chinese folk religious beliefs today. Hot off the heels of the Pirate Quest comes an entirely new Pico adventure, and just in time for Christmas. If you weren't a huge fan of the previous quest, there's a chance you might not be so enthusiastic about this one either. I think you should still try it out, though, because some of the items you win along the way are nice. In my opinion, at least.
Since the only other update today involved the Daily Gacha being stocked with a new weekly item (make sure you get the Candy Cane Stick with Christmas Holly Leaves before they're all eaten), I decided to make a quick and simple guide... just in case anyone is having some issues with certain aspects of the quest. Be warned, though. THAR BE SPOILERS FROM HERE ON OUT! And no, not the "Sleepy Elijah is Luke's father" or "it turns out Chloe was dead the whole time!" type of spoilers, but spoilers regarding secret areas and specific items you can win. Let's begin!
Prologue:
Start by clicking on this letter, which should be laying around near the entrance of your room. A screen will pop up and briefly explain what this new quest is all about.
After that, head on over to the Pet Farm area.
To begin your quest, you will have to click on Shepherd. Who is that? He's the one who looks like... well, we'll save that for later.
I have been waiting and waiting and slowly dying for Christmas to come to Pico. I'm a huge nutter butter about the holiday season D: The fact that Thanksgiving was done-done held high hopes that this week's maintenance would PROBABLY include the release of some Gingerbread-y goodness! I wasn't sure if they were going to tease us with just a few items or lay out a whole spread for us to choose from.
Pico, I think I love you again!
In my excitement I bought that red checkered rocking chair without realising it cost gold XD There's so much stuff I want to buy! I've been saving my tokens, gummies and gold since before Thanksgiving just for this very moment. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who's feeling the holiday cheer. There's so much excitement buzzing around the Pico grid that many of us were unable to log Pico at all. I was kind of bumming hard that I couldn't log to admire new rug!
Thankfully, all seems to be right again and I can happily enjoy my new holiday items. It seems that I have been gifted a temporary boyfriend too (check the second snapshot) I'll dub thee "Bubblebutt".
All in all, I think Ameba has done a fine job in bringing the holiday spirit to Pico. I just wished they had incorporated some of the other holidays that Picos might be celebrating. Chanukah started last night and we must not forget about Kwanzaa.

Well, it's that time of year again. Lights are going up, stockings are being hung, snow is starting to fall and people are tackling each other in stores over anything that is on sale. Yes, I'm talking about Christmas! The holiday spirit is nearly unavoidable at this point, and now it has even invaded Pico. To be honest, the update came as a complete surprise to me. This was the first week in a long time where they didn't notify us of any maintenance, so I did not expect much when logging in today. But those little Pico elves over at Ameba must've been up all night decorating and restocking the shops...
This was the very first sight I was greeted by today. Lala, Clover and Art decided to show off their new Christmas garb, as well as some fancy dance moves. I, for one, think they might've drank out of the eggnog bowl one too many times. Once I saw this, though, I knew I was in for a treat.
Once again, the Daily Gacha has been completely restocked with new Christmas items. And, similar to the past two holidays, there are "rare" items that will change every week. This week's item is the Special Attention Seeker’s Christmas Hat:
Wait a minute, let's take a look at that name for a moment. Special Attention Seeker’s Christmas Hat? Really? They are officially running out of names for these items. Anyways, there are a variety of things to win... ranging from food to mittens to shirts. If you are lucky enough, you will win one of these "secret" snowmen:
Sadly, though, he slowly melts away as time goes on. Is that supposed to be a metaphor about life, Pico? Huh?! WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO TELL US? But I digress... that's not the end of the holiday madness. Not by a long shot.
You are a pirate! Now that is one spiffy getup, if I do say so myself. Wondering how I acquired it? Well, the answer lies within one of today's two updates.
Chances are, if you logged in at all today, you will already know about this. If you haven't logged in, what are you waiting for?! Put that turkey leg down and prepare to have your Pico mind thoroughly blown into tiny pieces of gummies.
When first logging in, you will come across a little letter:

Click on that and you'll be whisked away on a brand new Pico journey, similar to Mario whenever he finds those secret warp whistles.
... um, alright... maybe not literally whisked away, but you get the idea. Video game references aside, this letter will inform you of a pirate quest which you can partake in.
This new quest feature is the first of its kind here on Pico, and even Pigg doesn't have anything like it (imagine that!). When Pico was taking suggestions a while back, I remember mentioning how there should be quests to win special items or gold. Can this possibly be a result of that? Probably not, but it is nice to think about. Either way, I found it to be a fun departure from the usual happenings in Pico so I'm hoping for many more to come. To start, you will have to travel to the Pirate Ship area in order to talk to your newly appointed Captain.
There's a lot to discuss about this feature, so I am going to simply stop here and save the rest for an upcoming quest guide. If you are having trouble with some of the missions, or if you simply want to relive the experience vicariously through me, be on the lookout for my guide which will be up soon! Oh, and in case you were wondering, the pirate outfit is one of two clothing items given to you for embarking on this quest.
Today's second and final update is nothing worth writing home about. It simply states that the Thanksgiving Daily Gacha has been extended and will be up for another week. If you haven't had a chance to win the basket of mushrooms yet, this is good news. If you are completely sick of seeing virtual mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie because they remind you of your Thanksgiving food coma, this might not be such good news.
It's Thursday, and you know what that means. Not only are we one day closer to the weekend, but we also have a few new updates which hit Pico early this morning. Maybe they aren't the major updates we've been hoping for, but I think they are still interesting enough to talk about.
The first update, and probably my favorite of the three, is the addition of a restocked Daily Gacha. The theme this time around is Thanksgiving!
Complete with food like pumpkin pie and turkey, it's enough to make your Pico's mouth salivate. Usually I question eating food when it's randomly laying around, but it's hard to ignore chowing down on these meals whenever you spot them. 3 second rule? Never heard of it.
There's much more than food, though. Candles, bonfires and hand hold feathers are among the other items you'll find while playing. Take note, though, that the hand hold items will be changing every week until Thanksgiving. The Handhold Colorful Feathers are the first of four, so make sure you get them before they are gone!
Change is good. You shouldn't be afraid of change.

That picture pretty much sums up my feelings regarding the latest update to hit Pico. Last night I was speculating what the maintenance could possibly be for. Between the higher-ups at Pico finally taking our suggestions and the Halloween decorations finally being taken down, my mind was running wild as to what they had in store for us next. Would there be more fall clothing? More fall decorations for our rooms? Maybe some Thanksgiving-inspired objects for the upcoming holiday? Fishing?Adoptable PENGUINS?! Yes, Pigg now has adoptable penguins. I went to sleep with these thoughts in my mind. However, when I awoke...
I was greeted by that message. My hopes and dreams were shattered. Could this possibly be true? Was I still dreaming? No, no... this was all too real. I was already smelling the burning torches of angry P.E.T.A (Picos for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) members marching in unison to protest this update. But, anyways, if you are interested in these items there are two different ways to go about getting them:
1. Daily Gacha
There are a handful of animal pattern decorations to win, as well as a rare cow plush. I couldn't help myself but at least try to win some items out of curiosity. In the process, I won a Zebra Print Comfy Rug, Soft Dalmatian Print Cushion, Giraffe Print Tissue Box and a token. So, hey, at least I won a token!
2. Rinarina's Shop
She asked me if I could "feel the vibe of the city." The only thing I could feel was my heart breaking with what I was about to do next.
